Job description
Seeking Patient Account Coordinators with 3 years of Physician Billing, Claims Denials and Follow-up experience for long term contract position in Irving, TX.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Physician A/R exp required.
- Minimum two years physician billing, insurance follow-up (appeal submissions), or healthcare business office experience
- Proficiency in basic medical terminology.
- Prior experience with Athena, Epic billing software preferred
- Read and interpret EOB’s (Explanation of Benefits)
- Determine root cause of denial and ability to submit appeal for reimbursement
- Understanding of diversified insurance plans.
- Understanding of Managed Care contracts, denials and payor methodology
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- This position is also responsible for analyzing and resolving billing errors/edits, denials and initiating appeal disputes
